zuluplanet.com is an online retailer specialising in the promotion and sale of Zulu Planet Publishers; books; e-books; photographs; music; and other leisure items that may be added to the website from time to time, which may include getaways and guest lodge or hotel accommodation.
General
Placing an item in a shopping cart without completing the purchase cycle does not:
1.1.1 constitute an agreement of sale between zuluplanet.com and you cannot hold zuluplanet.com liable if such items are not available when the purchase cycle is completed later; and/or
1.1.2 constitute an order for such an item; and
1.1.3 zuluplanet.com may remove such an item from the shopping basket if no stock is available.
1.2 An agreement of sale between zuluplanet.com and a user only comes into effect if and when:
1.2.1 A credit card authorisation is received from the issuing bank; or
1.2.2 A deposit of an electronic transfer is reflected on zuluplanet.com’s bank statement (and only if such payment is received within 5 (five) business days after completion of the purchase cycle); or
1.2.3 A direct deposit is reflected on zuluplanet.com 's bank statement (and only if such payment is received within 5 (five) business days after completion of the purchase cycle.
2.1.2 zuluplanet.com may electronically collect, store and use the following personal information of Users:

2.1.4 birth date;
2.1.5 gender;

2.1.8 e-mail address; and

Customer privacy policy
zuluplanet.com shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users/ customers. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Delivery policy
For in-stock items delivery will be within fourteen (14) business days subject to receipt of payment. For out of stock items delivery will be between fourteen (14) and thirty (30) business days, or as soon as the product is received by zuluplanet.com. Zuluplanet.Com utilises the service of an international postal service with a long history of good service. We will not be liable for any delays of delivery out of our control.
SA Post Office will deliver to your post box OR postal address ONLY
All our item are charged with the delivery cost included in the selling price – as indicated on the web shop of zuluplanet.com.
Return and Refunds policy
The provision of goods and services by zuluplanet.com is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, zuluplanet.com will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the customer once the credit card transaction has been effected will attract a 15% administration fee.
Once goods have been received by the customer no returns and/or refunds are allowed EXCEPT if zuluplanet.com supply the wrong product or if the product is in any way faulty or damaged. In such an event, the customer must notify zuluplanet.com by email/in writing within 7 days of receipt, stating the problem and requesting that the item/s be replaced.
zuluplanet.com will exchange any faulty or incorrect item. The customer will be required to return the faulty product to zuluplanet.com prior to it being replaced.
zuluplanet.com will make a reasonable effort to exchange the product, but if a replacement is not possible, zuluplanet.com will refund the purchase price including applicable delivery costs. Please note that in the case of incorrect products, such products must include all their original content as applicable on return. Products that have been incorrectly mailed will only be exchanged if they are still in the condition sent (sealed or unopened) – no exceptions will be considered. In the case of any returned goods that the customer claimed to be “defective” but that are found to be in working order or found to have been damaged by the receiver of those goods, such customers will be held liable.
All risks in the items purchased shall forthwith pass to the customer upon the conclusion of the agreement of sale.
E-Books and Photos
Once an e-book or image has been downloaded no refunds will be made to prevent duplication and possible fraudulent activity. If the customer has any problems with the download; or if there is a fault of any kind that transpires during downloading, zuluplanet.com will ensure that the content is transmitted again until the customer has been able to obtain a good quality version of the item purchased.
CDs & DVDs
The onus is on the purchaser to ensure that any age restrictions on DVDs are observed. Regional encoding of DVDs: Please note that certain DVDs sold are Region 1 (Canada and U.S.) encoded DVDs and these products may not play in DVD players sold in other parts of the world. Please make sure when purchasing a DVD from zuluplanet.com that the region code (under product description) is supported by your DVD player.
Payment options accepted
Credit cards or bank transfer.
Payment may be made via Visa or MasterCard credit cards or by bank transfer into the zuluplanet.com bank account. If you select to make a payment via bank transfer you will be forwarded our bank account details and your Order Reference Number to use as your reference when making the payment. Credit card acquiring and security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for zuluplanet.com via Virtual Card Services (VCS) gateway who are an approved payment gateway for First National Bank of South Africa. VCS uses the strictest form of encryption, and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.vcs.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by zuluplanet.com separately from card details which are entered by the client on VCS payment portal.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Responsibility
zuluplanet.com takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
zuluplanet.com reserves the right to refuse to accept and/or execute an order without giving any reasons. zuluplanet.com also reserves the right to cancel orders in whole or in part as circumstances dictate. zuluplanet.com shall only be liable to refund monies already paid by the user and received in whole by zuluplanet.com
All legal costs and expenses, including any collection commission, disbursements and attorney-and-client charges which we may reasonably incur in consequence of any default by the customer of any term or condition of this agreement of sale, shall whether or not any legal action or suit shall have been instituted, be payable by you to us within thirty (30) days after demand in addition and without prejudice to our right to cancel this agreement of sale. The validity, construction and enforceability of this agreement of sale shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
No agreement at variance with any of the terms or provisions of this agreement of sale shall be binding upon either us or you/the customer unless contained in a written document agreed to in writing by each of us.
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and zuluplanet.com chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 17 Zasm Rd, Waterval Boven, Mpumalanga, 1195, South Africa.
Variation
zuluplanet.com may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
