This is a personal collection of Poems, Verses and Songs written by Koos Roelofse over the last two decades.

Koos Roelofse is an entrepreneur, businessman, writer and part-time musician. Born in Pretoria in 1963, he grew up in Coligny in the Northwest Province in South Africa and graduated from the University of Stellenbosch.

The tragedy of the September 11th disaster has justifiably sparked a flood of emotions and the poem on this event portrays the poet’s surge of personal feelings. The collection of Religious Poems describes the poet’s personal views on his religion and his relationship with and adoration for God and his Religion. Living in South Africa - a country subjected to immense and agonising crime and violence - the Poems about his Country portrays his resentment and dismay with the crime situation and the perpetrators that have disapprovingly influenced everyone’s lives and daily existence.

The larger collection of the poems was written for and to his wife and family - revealing his love, admiration and dedication to them as husband, father and friend and signifying the strong bond that exists in the poet’s family. The poet explores love as a single emotion - but with a magnitude of feelings, he describes the beauty of adoring love, the splendour of matrimony and the magnificence of lasting commitment.
